It was a bed made for passion, a bed made for sin. And even if its extravagance was widely out of character, even if as a student she could barely afford its cost, the moment practical Veronica Parrish laid eyes on the antique four-poster, possession was required.

Valentine Tremaine knew physical love. In 19th-century New Orleans his name was whispered by many a mademoisell

"In the Midnight Hour" is a recent release from Kimberly Raye. It was written back in 1999, but just released. Since the subject matter concerns an amorous ghost, I'm guessing her publishers wanted to take advantage of the current paranormal market. It's a well-written story with fun characters.

Valentine is a ghost and his spirit is grounded to the bed he died in. While alive, he was quite the lover and, until his bed ended up in a dusty corner, he found a way to materialize at midnight and cont
The Plot: What can love survive? I know it is silly to have you think the plot is so short, but it true to what the book is about... the ulitmate survival of love... You will see, and I think you will agree with me... It's all about love!

The Main Players:

She is a 27 yr old student at University of Southern Louisiana (come'on... you know this is one of the reasons I bought this book - she lives in my home state and besides Barbara's review rocked!!!) majoring in accounting. She is just y
In the Midnight hour is more than I had anticipated after reading the blurb. Upon reading the first few chapters I was certainly intrigued to read on.

Ronnie purchases an antique bed, it calls to her, the price tag cast aside due to a tingling sensation Ronnie could not understand, all she knows is that she wanted this bed right or wrong. Valentine's influence has Ronnie purchasing the bed he has been bound to for centuries to uncover more than she could ever have imagined.

Vivid dreams, stolen t
I liked the premise if this book, but the execution fell flat for me. I've read a few paranormal/ghost/possession stories that I've love the idea but didn't like the reading. So I'm not sure if it's the actual genre that I'm not liking or the books themselves. The Val and Ronnie were good characters and kept me reading, regardless.m
I can say that I truly enjoyed this book. Just wish I could find me a bed that came with a sexy ghost. One that would help me out with my paper for college. I was really happy with the ending. Just wonder what the other students thought. I am not going to give anything away so I just need to keep from saying anything else.

I luved this book!!! It's a nice twist on paranormal....I really enjoyed the whole "ghost" element in the story!!! U don't really find many paranormal romances with only ghosts and no weres or vamps......To me this reminded me of an adult version of Meg Cabot's "Mediator Series"....LOL...
i still don't know what to make of this book.
i didn't like the characters and the story was kinda strange...
Nice romantic (with a lot of steamy scenes!) ghost story. Fun read. Highly recommended.

I've always been an incurable romantic. While I enjoy reading all types of fiction, my favorites, the books that touch my soul, are romance novels. From sexy to thrilling, sweet to humorous, I like them all. But what I really love is writing romance--the hotter the better!

I started my first novel back in high school and have been writing ever since. To date, I've published over thirty novels, one
