An absolute must for all dog & pet owners--I definitely wouldn't take my dogs on a trip without it. In a medical crisis, or for minor symptom management, it's invaluable. When all you've got available to you is your own medicine cabinet, "Can I give my dog Tylenol" (no!). "What about Immodium?" (yes). If you're driving across country with a couple of carsick goldens, for instance, or if your dog has a fall far from a vet and needs fast, safe pain management, this book will save your ass.

Although a bit outdated now, it still has enough information (especially on side effects and warnings) for many common medications for dog and cat owners. I've had it for years and still use it.
