Don’t ever forget for whom this blood was offered.

OMG!! I can't believe what happened actually happened!! Wow! I knew it was coming... but then again I really didn’t they’d… but then I saw with my own eyes that they... OMG! Wow! Vampire Knight 7 is definitely not the manga to miss! This book took the story to a whole new level. Loved it!

In this installment Yuki faced Kaname and demands the truth about her past. Words are shared, sacrifices are made and actions are taken that change the game and
"Be my... lover."
Bwahahaha. When Kaname said that to Yuki, I almost fell out of my chair, I was laughing so hard. It's so wrong, in so many ways. But, it's things like that that make me enjoy this series. (Although I do find it interesting that in the anime, Yuki does not invite Zero along to this meeting with Kaname -- In the manga version, it's hard to tell if Yuki was being oblivious or really cruel.)

Other notes: in scenes like the one where Zero pulls a gun on Kaname, the artwork just cries
Could this volume end at a worse cliff-hanger? No, didn't think so.

While I love this story, it tends to stall at times. There will be pages of beautiful artwork where not a whole lot happens. The characters have so much more potential than they're given. That's not to say I don't enjoy this series: I do. The intrigue is what keeps me as interested as I am, but the reread value probably isn't as high as other series I follow.

In this volume: love Zero, scared of Kaname (but love him, too, of cours
I could care less about Kaname and Yuki, the Mary Sue Twins, at this point. I'm here for Zero.
some rapturous kaname/zero in this one. are we *sure* we're still in shojo-land?
Michelle E.

Things became a bit less sweet as Kaname evaded Yuki's questions and teased her about it. The Aristocratic vampires, including Aido (who I love), were revealed to be major A-holes (Ruka was always one), so that I wonder why they attend a pacifist school. The artwork is still great, as usual.

I thought that this book was really action packed and very thrilling. The last chapter is very exciting it, had the most shocking out of all the moments in this book. Spoiler alert Kaname turned Yuki into a vampire at the end of the book. I think that zero really likes yuki but he doesn't know how to tell her. But what Kaname did was he jumped into Yuki's room, and grabbed her and took her outside on the balcony, and bit her on the throat. What I have learned from the main character Yuki, is tha ...more
I really liked this volume! Especially the side story and where Kaname confessed to Yuuki. It was really cute! But I wonder what Yuuki is to Kaname's uncle, Rido? I mean, they aren't related or anything and they haven't even met each other. Could he be the vampire from 10 years ago? I didn't really get the part where Yuuki started to strangle Zero saying how she's the victim and how when Kaname saved her he told her to awaken before it kills her...Then he bit her...It was a bit confusing but rea ...more
Umm. Damn. Like, holy-baby-chocolate-bunnies DAMN!

Yeah. Volume 7 kicked so much ass. It's kind of shocking that three main characters, a slew of background and secondary characters, and just vampires in a school is a cliche mixture of stuff. You'd think shiznit would get boring, but nope! 7 brings along some more ARE YOU FREAKIN' SERIOUS?! plot-shocks, and some pretty fun playtime with Kaname and Yuki. I mean just LOOK at that!

I still ship Zero and Yuki harder than anything, but damn. I am not

I'm not even that crazy about this series... at least that's what I've been convincing myself of. Yet, each time I read a volume, the story somehow latches its grips into me and I'm already reaching for the next volume before I've even finished the one I'm currently reading. I do believe I've become hopelessly addicted to this series.

Matsuri Hino, Vampire Knight, vol. 7 (ViZ, 2008)

There seems to be a wall every mangaka hits where they simply run out of ideas. Granted, some of them are able to put fresh spins on the old ones (Rave Master and Bleach have gone just about forever without a great deal of obvious repetition, for example), but this syndrome—we'll call it idealeech—tends to lead to either recycling old plotlines in new situations (the end of Yuyu Hakusho, for example) or grasping at the same kinds of straws one foun

The seventh Vampire Knight volume is all about Yuki seeking her past. She was attacked by a vampire ten years ago and saved by Kaname. That's all she knows. Everything before that is a blank.

Yuki is sure that Kaname knows something about her past but is afraid to ask him. At first, she goes to ask but chickens out. She worships Kaname and is terrified that he'll think poorly of her

So trusty Zero goes to ask Kaname instead. Not being Kaname's biggest fan, his question sounds a lot like an accusat
A lot is happening in this volume: Yuuki asks Kaname to tell her the truth about what happened 10 years ago, he confesses his love to her and doesn't really respond her questions, Ichijou and Shiki (possessed by Rido, who considers himself as the true heir of the Kuran family) come back to Cross Academy, Kaname bites Yuuki... Yeah, a lot.

I have to admit that the scene between Kaname and Zero kind of woke up the slash fan in me haha (although I did remember this scene from the time I watched the

I've been expecting this series to slow down at some point, but every time I think it might it just bounces back and gets stronger. Some of the finest artwork so far appears in this volume as Hino has really worked out how to create a gorgeous page layout to full effect. This volume is also a little less confusing and more character heavy, focussing a lot more on Yuuki's confused relationship to her past and how this affects her relationship to Kaname. There are, of course, the requisite plot tw ...more
The further Yuuki tries to delve into the depths of her mind, the more gruesome illusions haunt her. Not only that, but when she had previously attempted to read the page that recounts the day that she was found it ignited as soon as she laid her eyes upon the page!
There are dark forces keeping her from her past, and all links are tied to Kaname...
And just as foreseen by Kaname, Rido, the true head of the Kuran family, has taken over Shiki's body while he plans to steal Yuuki just as she awakens
Vampires and a steamy love triangle, that is exactly what caught my attention with this series!

Even though Yuki was sometimes a goofy character (like most females in manga) I thought upon occasion she showed spirit and bravery.

I kept going back and forth through the series between Zero and Kaname, although I think I liked Zero most of the time.
So Kaname asks Yuuki to be his lover.

"You pompous! Stuckup! Snot-nosed! English! Giant..twerp! Scumbag! Fuckface..dickhead-asshole!"

I quoted that from "100 Greatest Insults of All Time" . I have no idea what movie that's from, but it sums up my feelings of Kaname.

And then the Night class follows Yuuki around. She tells them to stop and Aidou tells her to shut up and how she wouldn't understand since she's a silly human who doesn't even comprehend the pride a vampire noble has.

Oh give me a fucki
