Post-civil war era romance. Takes place on a plantation. Part of a series. Not really a "western".

I started to care about Shay in Maggie's Beau. Was thrilled to see this book. It definitely lived up to expectations. Scarred souls, love, redemption written with insight in a solid story line. What is not to appreciate. Highly recommended.
