I was given this book by my daughter. The title intrigued me. I have not read stories about missionaries since I was in my teens. This book was surprisingly well-written. Each of the 15 chapters is about a different female missionary in Asia. Not many authors document what female missionaries did/do anywhere. I found myself reading each chapter to its conclusion before putting the book down to get on with other things. The book was obviously meant as a study book as there are discussion questions at the end of the book. I confess, I did not read them. The stories were worth reading just for reading's sake.

I met the beautiful and inspiring woman who wrote this book tonight in my Intro to Missions class at TWU.
