Very definitely a good read! The Solar Sea is an engaging, well-crafted tale of space exploration. The author is an astronomer who knows the territory, and a storyteller who knows how to transport you there. In this adventure he describes a spacecraft designed for interplanetary travel. I suspect he may actually have worked up the schematics. I expect he’ll be hearing from NASA.
With The Solar Sea, David Lee Summers has written a fine narrative on a par with the best of Science Fiction, More...

I spent a very good moment reading through this novel, from an author I didn't know before reading this book.
The style is efficient, the rythm is fast, it's not easy to put the book down and do something else. Fortunately, I was ill so doing anything else than read or sleep was out of the question ;)
I hope there will be a sequel to this novel, because the ending sure opens a lot of opportunities to new stories !
