But Indigo's ego is seriously deflated when her best friend, Jade, becomes the new captain. All of a sudden, Jade isn't her best friend anymore. Deal With It by Monica McKayhan is one of the best books I have ever read. It is fiction but the conflicts that are reavealed in this novel can occur in any real life situation. These teenagers are faced with challenges that seem impossible to deal with. In this book, I even reconized how Tameka became a dynamic character as I continued to read. It only took my 3 days to read and I absolutely loved it. When I arrived to the last page I wanted it to be soo many more pages waiting for me to read. ...more

I just started reading this book and it has me glued to it all the time. That is very surprising for me, because I really do not read books like that. Mostly it is about these group of girls on a dance squad. They all have some type of drama going on in their lives from boyfriend problems, to family, and to friends. Also, the boys in the group with the girls are having multiple issues to around those lines. What makes the book the best book ever is by each person has their own chapter about the ...more

I absolutely love books like this , very relatable ,realistic . My be young adult but I believe it could be read by all ages or at least those that find It interesting. It's even a series . I really connected with Tameka's a 16yr old. Sophomore who pregnant not because I'm pregnant but because I'm a sophomore and I'm sixteen just thinking of how that could really happen is just I can't explain it.

Tameka and Vance are really close until Vance wants to go to the next level. But Tameka isnt ready. Also, Vance meets this new girl named Darla that he cant take his eyes off of. And Tameka almost got into a fight with Darla.

Indigo got her learners permit. Marcus, her boyfriend, has been spending more time with his new friend than with Indigo. She gets jealous.

Put a "H" on your back and handle it!

Wow, another great story in the Indigo Summer Series. Book 6 delivers a glimpse of how teenagers deal with jealousy, sexual abuse, death, and teen pregnancy. The circumstances and emotions seem so real! Definitely worth reading.
