I remember having participated to a lecture by Mr Horton, when I was a student, more than a decade ago. If my memory does not deceive me, the subject was the thematic development in Bruckner's 8th Symphony and the response of the audience was overwhelmingly positive. Therefore, when I started reading this book, my expectations were very high.
