Probablemente, el mejor de los libros de Manuel Puig. Una vez más se mete en el cerebro de varias mujeres, aunque en este caso abandona la lógica de señoritas bien /amas de casa de Boquitas pintadas y puede diverger con un relato de espías y estrellas cinematográficas, y con una heroína de Ciencia Ficción muy coherente.

Considero este una de las mejores obras de Puig, bastante futuristica. Me cautivo la destreza que tiene para llevar dos historias al mismo tiempo, y conseguir que ellas se crucen a pesar de pertenecer a dos vidas y tiempos tan distintos, que sinembargo parecen como si fueran una misma.

This is the author of the "Kiss of the Spider Woman" and this story was darnn poetic in scale. A woman married to a German arms manufacturer in 1930 to a woman who escaped the violence of Argentina makes for a great societal commentary.

Manuel Puig (born Juan Manuel Puig Delledonne) was an Argentinian author. Among his best known novels are La traición de Rita Hayworth (1968) (Betrayed by Rita Hayworth), Boquitas pintadas (1969) (Heartbreak Tango), and El beso de la mujer araña (1976) (Kiss of the Spider Woman), which was made into a film by the Argentine-Brazilian Director, Héctor Babenco and in 1993 into a Broadway musical.
