This was a quick read. The author has a great conversational storytelling style. When he was scared, he admits to it. It’s not all roses and happiness. When mistakes were made, he talks about why and how people can learn from them. Seems like a really nice guy and good negotiator.

My uncle is mentioned in the chapter called psychedelic shower (Hank Orzynski); thankfully for being an FBI agent, not a criminal. Read a few chapters so far, most recently the Waco account. Hard to put it down.
A quick read but disappointing for deep reflection of the F.B.I. The author takes the reader through a number of high profile cases,along with some lesser ones, without the deep reflections of the operations themselves. What is lacking, in my opinion, is an honest,objective look of the FBI, ATF, SWAT and all the law enforcement agencies that he was involved in.
