In ten years of working for the Damask Circle, shapeshifter Katherine Tanner has never come across anything that goes after kids the way this monster does, and she has never met anything that does to them what this thing does. And it’s not something she wants to confront. But with the Circle’s resources stretched to the limits, she’s given very little choice. The last thin ...more

Initial Thoughts: This book reminded me a little of the first book in the series, Circle of Fire. I liked the hero and heroine in this book. Kat was a member of the Damask Circle and well versed in all things supernatural. On the other hand, Ethan is at odds with his werewolf side, not even knowing how to shift. Ethan also has some serious commitment issues. No problem - these two are hot together. Full review to come...

Circle of Desire was the book I loved more in the Damask Circle spin-off. You can see the first tendrils of what will become the author's next successful series, Riley Jenson- Guardian.

Mostly, I loved the tighter plot, the stronger heroine. I loved the author's stronger stance on women, gender and sex. No, we are not yet to the Guardian's point. But there's less virgin territory here, more of women who know what they want (if not yet what they are worth :)

Kat is knowledgeable, strong, she's the

Katherine, raven shapeshifter and psychic, and her grandmother are hunting a new enemy of the Damask circle: some unknown and unseen force is kidnapping children. Their bodies turn up weeks after their disappearance – but they’re not just dead, their very souls have been consumed

Obviously, this has to stop. And with Damask circle resources stretched, any help they can get is very welcomed

Ethan is a police officer, his niece has been captured and he’s definitely ready to step up and join the hunt

Children kidnapped, tortured and killed is abhorrent. Immediately, this plot is going to generate more emotion in me. I'm actively engaged and wanting to know more. I want the evil responsible to be completely exterminated. This is a job for Katherine aka Kat. She and her grandmother are part of the investigative team from Damask Circle. They are psychics and shifters prepared to do what they must to hunt down the kidnappers and rescue the children. They are hindered by a "muggle" cop, Ethan.

The third and final installment of the Damask Circle trilogy was as 'meh' for me as the second one. Compared to Circle of Death's lead character I enjoyed our lead here. She was a bit more open and I was able to enjoy her voice more. On reflection I actually think you can take the attitudes of the man and woman in Circle of Death and reverse them to get Kathy and Ethan. Kathy is a moderatly stable one, with a tragic backstory (which seems to be a given). Ethan seems to have a similarly tragic ba ...more

Let me start of by saying that, at first, I was dragging my heels with this book. I wasn't won over by the way both characters were willing to jump in the sack with questionable motives and reasoning. But, by the end, I warmed up to their relationship as it progressed.

What worked for me in this book?

Kat - She was a great character to read. Not too whiny, but not too 'in control', if that makes sense? She had a real balance of both

I enjoyed this third entry in the Damask Circle series. I would label it a Paranormal Romantic Suspense. As I recall Keri Arthur's other early work, this one seemed to be heavier on the sex between Kat and Ethan. Not only is Ethan a werewolf, but Kat and her grandmother (the only secondary character with a decent size role)are special as well. I liked all the characters and the bad guys from the mara (a new supe for me), rogue weres and zombies were suitably bad.

This story definitely stands alon
This is a reissue of an older work and the third book in the series of the Damask Circle. Once again we get new characters with the only tie to any previous ones are occasional phone calls to the leader of the circle. New monster/villain and a slightly different take on zombies. Both the hero and heroine are shifters, one is a bird and the other is a wolf. The hero is the wolf and he has for the most part cut himself off to any permanent relationships with women due to his heart being broken whe ...more
Paranormal Romance
As members of an ancient and powerful coven, the heroine and her grandmother have been enlisted by the police for their help to track and stop the person responsible for the kidnapping and murder of several children. Though they know the heroine is a witch, the human cops have no idea what sort of entity they are after nor how helpless they are to stop it before it kills again. Only the heroine has the knowledge and ability to put an end to the killer but she's received some help from an unexpec ...more

And here’s the last volume of the Damask Circle series. I confess that I thought that by starting the series, I would be able to learn more about this organization that we hear so much about. In the end it is true that this is not the case but I took a great pleasure in discovering all these new characters, all different from each other. In addition, we have in this volume the mention of Nikki & Michael, the two characters of the previous trilogy.

Circle of Desire is the third edition in the Damask Circle Series by Keri Arthur.

Kat Tanner and her grandmother have worked with the Damask Circle for over 10 years. They are about to face the most difficult case so far.

Shifter children are being kidnapped and murdered. The last victim was shifter and police officer Ethan Morgan's niece. Ethan will break all the rules if it will save his niece.

When Ethan and Kat meet the chemistry is electrifying, but Ethan has some serious hang ups about comm

I've been waiting for this book since I started reading A Damask Circle Series. The last book; a goodbye to a world filled with supernatural beings and humans with amazing powers. It was a bittersweet reading, because of the pleasure it gave me, but also the sadness of the farewell.

The story of this Circle of Desire uses, once again, the same formula of the previous volumes, where we have a shapeshiter and a werewolf, who meet during the investigation of kidnapping and murderer of children.

Sometimes I get in a place where I read a series of books back-to-back. That's what I did with the Damask Circle books and that's why I'm reviewing them together.

The first book and the third are very much the same. Missing children. An evil femal supernatural being who is somehow and for some reason draining their lifeforce. One of the protagonists is related to a missing child. And in all the books one of the protagonists is unaware of/unwilling to use/unable to control their magical/supernatur

General: This book had a very different, but similar feel to the other Circle books. I think the thing it shared in common is all three started much faster than the stories in the Riley Jensen and Nikki & Michael series - which I love. You're thrown right into the mix. You're also always dealing with slightly darker deeds by the villain in the Circle book
Circle of Desire is the third book in the Damask Circle series.

In certain aspects, this book is much better than the former two, but certain flaws of the first two books still persist here too.

First for the positive aspects- Keri Arthur does have a wonderful imagination, I can, give you that. The evil being in this story is different from the first two. In this book, it is a Mara i.e. a soul-sucker. Both the male and female lead of the story are shifters. Katherine Tanner and her grandmother

I have this slight issue, it’s a common problem, I buy books then they sit on my bookshelf looking pretty while I read newer books which have arrived more recently! This year I decided I needed to tackle the backlog of books waiting patiently on my shelves and Circle of Desire is one of those books. I read the first two books in the Damask Circle series when they were released so I am quite a way behind with this one.

Children are being kidnapped, tortured, and killed. Their very souls are being sucked out of them. The Damask Circle sends in witches - Kat and her grandmother, Gwen - to hunt the kidnappers and rescue the children using their psychic and shifter powers. In the process they cross paths with a cop named Ethan whose niece is one of the missing children and has been asked to back off from the police investigation.

Although he is a shifter, Ethan doesn't believe in the paranormal. This makes for an

I must say after reading a ton of Keri Arthur in the last couple months I have loved them all, but this one is my all time favorite to date.

The latest bad guy/girl is stealing small children and you don't even want to know what condition they are in when found. (I could not wait for the justice to be severed to this beast of a child killer... just saying I have a vivid Imagination..HA)

and second novels, Circle of Fire and Circle of Death, Circle of Desire has a very compelling storyline and well-done mystery. I couldn't stop turning the pages to find out how the mystery will resolve.

But sad to say, the flaws of this novel overwhelm the strengths of this novel. The flaws that has existed since the first book, which is the lack of worldbuilding and relationship development, still continue to exist glaringly. I doubt you'll want to listen to me rant for the third time about sim

I thought this book was fantastic. Loads of action, bit of romance and a happy ending! Shame this is the last in the trilogy as I have really enjoyed this series.

Ethan's niece has gone missing, same as a few other children and he is determined to find her. Being a cop helps, but he is soon pulled off the case by his captain for being too emotionally involved.

At the same time, Kat and her grandmother Gwen are trying to track down the kidnappers as part of the Damask Circle's investigation team.

What I liked:
Overall I liked the book, but not as much as some of keri arthurs other books (spook squad novels were better. I like that most of Keri Arthurs female characters are strong women (at least in some senses) and the heroin of this book was no exception.
I liked the character having a close relationship with her grandmother although I found the grandmother encouraging her sex life a bit ick and not very grandmotherly.
The plot line was ok, the sex scenes were pretty good.

This might be my new favorite of the circle spinoff! Something about the combination of sizzling chemistry, werewolves, and the reluctant pair in this one really grabbed me. It was a quick but totally enjoyable read all the way through!
