Savannah Grant once had the reputation for being the wild sister-but no one, not even her twin, knew just how wild Savannah had once been. Now that past has come back to haunt her. Someone is murdering humans in Ripple Creek, and the murders are eerily similar to those she'd witnessed nearly ten years ago. Worse still, the man sent in to help with the investigation is the...more

This is Savannah and Cade's story and it was just as good as the first book. The sex and love scenes are so damn intense, and it was action packed to boot.
I have loved all of Ms. Arthur's books so far and have to keep digging for more. She does not disappoint, unless you count the fact that her series end and some to damn soon.
This book has it all, action, passion, hot hot sex. Damn I love these Weres...
You gotta get it...I promise you'll love it.

A mild improvement over its predecessor, Beneath A Darkening Moon was enjoyable, if a little forgettable. But before I continue with my review, allow me a brief rant:

With this book and Beneath A Rising Moon, Piatkus Books successfully conveyed a level of disregard for its readers that just made me sad:

- Exhibit A: the Ripple Creek Werewolf series follows IDENTICAL twin sisters Neva and Savannah Grant, both of whom have long golden blonde hair. This is quite important, plot-wise, as they are memb...more

Savannah Grant is the head ranger on the Bitterroot werewolf reservation. There is a serial killer targeting humans on the reservation, so interspecies law enforcement is called in. Unfortunately, the lead investigator Cade Jones, is a man from her distant past. She was involved in what amounted to a cult of werewolves and half breeds connected to a serial killer very much like the present one. Cade was undercover at the time and a very young Savannah thought that she was in love with him. They...more

Second book the the Ripple Creek werewolf series and this one does have some similarities to the first book featuring Neva and Duncan. The book blurb above is basically the entire story.

Savannah is a ranger on the reservation who is investigating a couple of murders that seem to be a echo of the ones from her past. A past she doesn't want to relive, but which comes back along with Cade, someone she loved and ran away from 10 years ago and who used her as a contact to solving those previous crime...more

Second book of the series, see review of Beneath a Rising Moon. I really enjoyed this book. The main character, Savannah, is the twin of the main character in the first book in the series. I really enjoyed seeing some of the differences between these two sisters. They both have a ton of confidence and attitude and great independent streak. But that being said, they also tend to approach things a bit differently. I also really liked Cade.

I did have a couple of issues with this book though. I real...more

I don't usually read paranormal romance series books back-to-back, they really have to have that extra something to make me want more and although I enjoyed the first book immensely, I didn't like this one quite as much.

I'm not a big fan of the reunited lovers storyline, it always makes me sad that they lost so much time together, in this case because of misunderstandings. I also didn't love Savannah as much as her twin sister Neva, in the first book. She was hard and tough and difficult to rela...more

The second book starts about a year or so after the first one. This time the other sister is the main viewpoint character and she is solving a murder and someone form her hidden wild child past ends up being part of the official team that comes onto the werewolf reservation to investigate it. There are hard feelings between the two and a bit of leftover courtship magic that they have been able to ignore since they were out of one another's lives for years. Savannah ran from Cade as the free love...more

Well, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first but it was still really good but in different ways. I was really impressed with the storyline, which was actually quite complex in places with a very detailed back-story of Savannah and her lover when they had been together 10 years earlier. The author was able to give little bits of the back story at varying times to peak your interest, and then gradually add to it as the plot thickened. As usual our heroine gets her man, and although he sounde...more

Of course Keri Arthur does not disappoint!!! Second in the series and about Savannah Grant (twin sister to Neva Grant from the first book) and Cade Jones. This story is just as action packed and steamy as the first and does an excellent job bringing to light all the things that left a mystery about Savannah during the first book. Savannah and Cade are both easy to like (even if you do want to smack some sense into Cade, repeatedly), and I was captivated from the first chapter! A definite must re...more

I really enjoy Keri Arthur’s stories. She doesn’t shy away from the dark, the dangerous, the scary, or the gross. Nor is she afraid of the sexy, the sweet, or the love. She has a great instinct with paranormal romance where she’s able to tell such a full story without leaving out anything that could keep the reader second guessing or longing for more. This story is a break from her Riley Jensen stories and was in fact written prior to them but was republished (when I picked it up). Like I mentio...more

Arthur fans will LOVE this one. A twisted murder mystery coupled with a sexy romance equals a hard to put down page turner. This is the 2nd Ripple Creek Werewolf book it focuses on Savannah Grant, who is the chief ranger of the reservation. In the Ripple Creek world werewolves mostly live on reservations because their numbers are low and humans have such great fear of them. Savannah is shocked when someone starts murdering humans in a manner identical to one she witnessed in the past. The murder...more

This is a Keri Arthur book, it has sexy wolves who need sex during the moon heat so uh yes I love it!!!

We met Savannah in Beneath a Rising Moon she seemed pretty much like a tough cop who played by the rules. But man once we get into her past you will see a whole new person, a girl who left home because of her fathers strict rules, a girl who was a free spirit and who was just exploring her sexuality. And it was here she met Cade.. The man she fell in love with but also the man that broke her he...more

Savannah is a Ranger on the Ripple Creek Werewolf Reservation and is investigating a spate of murders that are very similar to ones she witnessed 10 years previously. Because the people who have been murdered were human she is forced to call in the IIS (Interspecies Investigation Squad) to help with the investigation but she is shocked when she discovers the man in charge of the investigation is Cade. 10 years ago she met and fell for Cade but due to circumstances and some major misunderstanding...more

As cute as the first, unfortunately all of it it's a copy of the first. Same basic plot, same kind of characters, same formula.
(view spoiler)[
Murders: check
2 women murderers: check
Vengeance against couple: check
Past that comes back to bite ass: check
Relationship problems due to a couple who does not talk: check
Father problem: check
(hide spoiler)]

All books have a formula, but the reader shouldn't be able to see it.
As I said nice, but I wasn't in any way invested in this story. :)

Hmmm...okay...so I have read both books in this series. The stories were engaging BUT it rather concerns me that both the lead male characters are abusive to the main female character. I am concerned that this acceptance of said abusive behavior will have a negative impact on women that face abuse in real life. I am concerned that this acceptance of inappropriate behavior, even in fiction, sends a message that this behavior is okay. It is not. Reader beware.

This story is about the other twin the plot reminded me of clue alot more suspects and different trails to follow but there is some romance in between, happiness. I liked the book though I like her sister's story better book 1 but I would recommend both if you're into werewolves and want more R-rated than young adult PG-13. A bit more explicit than your Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs but just as good.

While I did enjoy this glimpse into the Ripple Creek series have to admit that Riley Jensen series has it beat in both world building for stories and the characters that I so enjoyed following the adventures of.

However this had a decently orchestrated plot and the pace of the story was nicely smooth going as well as fairly in depth character developments of the main male and female, think though especially would love more from secondary character of Ronan as he deserves his own book.
Michelle
Eh, this book was fine. I usually give Keri Arthur books 4-5 stars but this book was just ok for me. The plot was good, interesting and the mystery was good too. But after the first 1/4 of the book, the love story fizzled out for me. It was rather bland in my opinion and it took a back seat to the crazy/murder mystery plot.
Stacy
This volume was much better than its predecessor in terms of the murder mystery and character building. The main characters' rehashing of past slights and misunderstandings got a tad repetitive, but overall it was an entertaining story.
Anne
OK I loved the first book and I love the sisters Neva and Savannah. I enjoyed Duncan too. But I just don't like Cade. He's a coward and a jerk and a coward. And sadly, I didn't find him HOT either. So the story and the mystery was good and I was glad to see the sisters interaction. I'm not sorry I read it but I didn't like the couple as well as in the first book.
Carol
Loved the book full of suspense, hot sex and romance. I tend to agree with Ria regarding the covers (disappointing they weren't images of the golden blondes) that both Neva and Savannah were. I think covers are very important to the reader - helps with an image of what the characters look like!
Mersina
I did like the 1st book of the 2 more so than this but this one still was a great read.

It is just a shame there is only 2 books of this series and no more.

Does anyone know if she will continue this series?

Another solid read by Keri. I think I even liked this better than the first. If you are a fan of the Riley Jenson Guardian series, you will definitely enjoy Ripple Creek. It kind of has the same feel but in a different setting.
Belinda
Didn't enjoy this one as much as the first. There is still the mystery to solve and the budding romance between the main characters. It also sees further insight in the telepathy of the sisters. It was a nice easy read though.
