Finally. This is a much better Obama book for younger readers than the others I've looked at. The voice the author chose is straightfoward but eloquent--not condescending or awkward, a problem the other books I've read for this age group both suffered from. It contains real and little-discussed information on Obama, with helpful geographic guides and beautiful illustrations.

I bought this book to share with the first grade classroom that I tutor with. I think it's a great story to teach about the history of our next president. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a bit of background on Obama to share with children.
