3.5 stars. Nothing particularly memorable here (and one wonders why so many of the woodland creatures are so unfriendly to poor Mousekin!) but the illustrations are beautiful and very nature-ly oriented--no characterized mice here, Mousekin looks just as you'd find him in the woodland, and the representations of the birds and other creatures, as well as the flowers, are equally realistic.
