So I read the first two Clique novels and I enjoyed them and thus I bought the subsequent books. While shopping I saw four of the five summer collections going for $0.97 each. Now while I spend a lot of money on books, I loves me a good bargain! So of course I bought them.

I picked up Alicia's book this evening. Keep in mind that I haven't read the series since late 2011. It took me a minute to get back into the flow.I immediately knew I had missed some things, but that didn't bother me too much.

I never thought that one day I would give a Lisi Harrison book one star. Because, well, Lisi Harrison is one of my favorite authors. She writes amazing books and I love then, but I feel like The Summer Collection is just not all that good. Usually her books have messages in them, but The Summer Collection is to shallow, especially this one.

I don't know if it's its shallowness, or the fact that this reads like Lisi had a one month dead line and ended up writing the whole book the night before, o
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!! 100% of awesomeness. I have never read any books in the Clique series before and didn't think i'd like them but this was such a good book! It was so fun to read with a perfect combination of romance and adventure. Nina(Alicia's cousin) was such an unpredictable person, one moment she was an evil crime to human kind and the next a total understanding, helpful love-bug! I would recommend this to any girl and I mean ANY girl who needs a really great story of revenge and fr ...more

i loved the clique series so as soon at it came out i had to read it. massie is always calling alica fanish(fake spanish)alica is so tired of being treated like she's below her and landing a spot in a major spanish music. in this book of the clique series you learn a lot more about nina, alica's cousin who was introduced in invasion of the boy snatchers. another adrenalin filled book of the clique.
Honestly, Alicia is my least favorite character from this series. She's defiant to authority and can't grasp the fact that she needs to learn to follow before she can lead. I can't even describe the disgust I acquired for Nina from reading Invasion of the Boy Snatchers . But in this book I actually sympathized with them. I never considered that Alicia felt that she didn't belong in either the American or Spanish worlds. All of the other members of the Pretty Committee seemed so obvious to me: M ...more

Alicia heads to Spain to visit her relatives and is on a mission: Be a Spalpha (Spanish alpha). That perfect opportunity arrived just after seeing an ad about some famous European pop singer named !i! is looking for a "real Spanish beauty" for his music video of his newest single "Rain in Spain".

But her mission is not as easy as she'd expected. She had her twin gorgeous cousins and their kleptomania-ridden boy snatcher Nina to deal with.

This book is about Alicia going to visit her cousins in Spain. I have to say out of the whole summer series, this one was not very interesting. I stopped reading it for awhile because I almost didn't want to read it anymore. Alicia's older twin cousins are trying to become "GR Girls" to the famous singer ¡i!. Alicia wanted to too but she knocks over a statue and ends up having to work and not getting to try out. I personally think that doesn't really make any sense. Also you never hear anyth

Recommends it for: For those who want to be in the kno about their summer
Alicia is spending the summer with her relatives in Spain without her mother for the first time as she has remained in Westchester with her father as he’s working on a major court case. Determined to become a Spalpha (Spanish Alpha), Alicia is set on being picked as the “real Spanish beauty” to star in Spain’s pop sensation,!i!’s music video which is being shot at the Lindo Hotel. At a party, Alicia’s summer dreams are crushed when she and her cousin, Nina, who she definitely loathes right now e ...more

I absolutely AH-DORED this book!! It was probably the best out of ALL of the Clique books in the Summer Collection. Alicia has never been one of my favorite characters in the Clique. It's always been Kristen, Claire, or Massie. Never Dylan or Alicia. But something about this book just made me luhve it. I dunno what it was though. I luhved the ADM! thing, as taking place for ehmagawsh! in Spainish is just somehow sexy to me. xD Alicia was determined to be a Spalpha, which I admired. She worked re ...more

I really liked this book of the Clique Summer Collection written by Lisi Harrison. I read it two times, because the first time I read it, I liked it a lot. The story is about a girl named Alicia Rivera, and she is half spanish, half american. And her best friend is Massie Block, and since Massie is the Alpha, Alicia is the beta. But she doesnt want to be the beta anymore, and since she will go to Spain in the summer with her cousins, she decides she will be a spalpha, which is spanish alpha. Whe ...more
Alicia is the third book of the Summer Collection, a group of side stories revolving around the members of the "Pretty Committee" from Lisi Harrison's "The Clique" series of popular and controversial books. Each of the Summer Collection titles follows one of the characters through her summer vacation in between the seventh and eighth grades (or, chronologically, in between Sealed With a Diss and Bratfest At Tiffany's in The Clique series).

Even though ALICIA is the third book in THE CLIQUE SUMMER COLLECTION, I am yet to be bored by the series!

Alicia is the character of the Clique who can stand out in a crowd. She goes to spend her summer without her parents in Spain, and she and Nina (who came to OCD in the series and caused a lot of havoc) create a lot of trouble. Alicia finds herself with a job she does not want, to pay for something that she should care about, but really doesn't. A
Alicia is spending her summer back in Spain with her family. Every year when she comes back from vacation, her friends see her as a different person. This time, she is trying to convince her friends that she isn't "fanish" which Massie refers to as , fake-Spanish.This time when Alicia goes back to Spain, she wants to shoot a music video with her twin cousins Isobel and Celia (Nina's sisters) It turns out that that Alicia has to spend the summer hanging out with her cousin Nina, the person who st ...more
In Invasion of the Boy Snatchers I thought Nina was a real bitch. Then I read this and felt bad for her. Nina is around Spanish boys. She can't be having acne, Dora bob, blond hair, Afro, and braces. Poor Alicia, not knowing where she belongs.

In the beginning the book was kinda boring but as it got on it was some what interesting. I really liked how they described the character and how they were doing a certain thing like how they met I and how they got into trouble and how they cleaned the bird poop.

I read this book in one day! Yes it was a short read, but it was so good I wanted to keep reading! I can't wait to read the next "The Clique Summer Series" book!
This is the 3rd book of the Clique Summer Series, and it follows Alicia and her trip to Spain to go meet her cousin Nina and her cousins. She ends up having to work at a uber-fancy hotel to pay back a very expensive statue that she broke because of Nina. She enlists to audition for a spot in the Spanish popstar I!'s music video and she tries to get her older cousins. Her older cousins "try" to help her and just end up wearing her Ralph Lauren originals. Which moves Alicia to rethink whether she ...more

This book surprised me in so many ways! I'm so glad to see that Alicia made friends and worked as a team with Nina. Nina's sisters, (Alicia's cousins) Celia and Isobel are rude rude rude! They leave Alicia there to do everything. After Nina and Alicia break the famous crystal statue of some Spain hero, they have to repay. Alicia doesn't worry until she calls her mom and she says that NO- I will not send money- you need to learn your lesson for once! SURPRISE! Nina and Alicia have to WORK TOGETHE ...more

Alicia by Lisi Harrison is about a young girl, Alicia who goes to Spain to visit her family. While being in Spain she finds out about a huge competition that will make her famous and be in a pop singer's music video. The only problem she faces is her cousins because they want it as much as she does. I really liked this book because it was a very interesting plot and i also loved how it took place in Spain. I would say that it could have been longer, but other than that it was pretty good. I woul ...more

having popularity come with a price and that price
"The Summer Collection: Alicia" is better than "Dylan" but worse (nawt by much) than "Massie". I loved the vivid descriptions of the resort parties, the unexpected tie to the "Massie" book (purple hair streaks, anyone?), and the surprise ending. I could not believe how gullible Alicia was to Nina's schemes, and Alicia's job was a little boring. I think the Summer Collection books as a whole so far are not as entertaining as the other clique novels; I had high hopes for this set. However, "Alicia ...more
Hola mami! Woo! Alicia is in Spain! the only thing is she had to see Nina.AGAIN ! Hadn't she suffered enough when she came to visit her? So she wants to steal the spotlight ( even from her sisters) and she'll do anything to get that. But will Alicia rise or fall again becoming her same old Beta self? OR will she get the chance of her life to meet I! and get to be in his music video or go home with no story to tell Massie? Tiene mucho calor in Espana no?
