This book kind of reminds me of a biography of King Tut I once read. We know more about Jane Seymour than we do about King Tut -- but not that much more. Thus both books were mainly a series of educated guesses.

This is the first time that Jane Seymour gets an entire book to herself instead of just one chapter. It is less than 150 pages with a big print and a double spaced format. This has nothing to do with the author's lack of ability, but everything to do with the unfortunate lack of sources about Jane Seymour. Pamela Gross tries to answer the question: Who was Jane Seymour? She attempts to contradict the almost 500 year old vision of Jane as a sweet, religious, quiet and obedient woman. Pamela does ...more
