I was first introduced to McCabe's poetry in my poetry seminar at uni. We listened to him read 'Axis is' via youtube for oxfam. I loved the poem at first listen and bought this collection. It's now tattered as I never go anywhere without it. The poems are contemporary, touching, scathing, and many other brilliant things. I have just taken delivery of his first collection 'The Hutton Enquiry' and I can't wait to delve inside.
