Tell Santa that you are getting into "birding" and Santa will leave you tons of goodies under the tree and in your stocking including this cute little book. I love this book because it focuses only on the most common birds in Virginia, which helped make it very easy for me to identify the ones we see all the time in our very own backyard. The photos are also very good and each page for the particular bird has a description of the male, female, juvenile, nesting habits and other interesting information.

This a nice book for all ages. I bought it at the local bird boutique due to the owner's recommendation. The book is divided up into sections based on the bird's predominant color. Very good for those little ones that are interested in birding. My children are able to use this book with ease as they identify the birds in our garden.
