"A Letter to American Boys" is an 1878 open letter written by George MacDonald. This letter includes (and is mostly composed of) a delightful short story of spiritual allegory that is likely to catch your interest. To enjoy the story best, you must understand it's allegorical nature. "A Letter to American Boys" is intended to spin off implications in your mind as you read or listen (the audiobook can be downloaded for free from LibriVox.org).
