First introduced to America through A Collaboration with Nature (1991), Goldsworthy's sculptures are created in the open from natural materials such as ice, leaves, rock, and clay, then photographed--to become award-winning pictures. Here nearly 200 illustrations--over 100 in color--make a fascinating collection.

This is an overview of the artist's work from 1976-1990. It contains a beautiful selection of his work; I wasn't as interested in the text talking about his work, but I suppose it would be helpful and interesting to some people.

A quick pass through this marvelous book is a re-initialization of one's relationship with all of nature. Goldsworthy is touched by nature, and he touches back, gently, tenderly and passionately. I now look for magic everywhere!

if you have never seen Andy Goldworthy's work you will be blown away and much inspired by his stone art structures and his look at nature. makes you want to have something so beautiful in your own garden.

This retrospective on his sculpture/photography is excellent....more than just pictures. The explanations of the efforts make the pieces more and more interesting. Amazing and beautiful!

Beautiful retrospective of his work, from his first pieces in 1976 until 1990, with a lot of interviews and critical essays included.

I enjoy the subversiveness of Goldsworthy’s work, using natural elements in the most unnatural way.
Susan
He is brilliant. And Scottish. Well, obviously both.
