When I decided to try my hand at baking bread, I borrowed this book. It was recommended by my MIL as a great book for beginners. She was right. Hensperger does an excellent job at describing tools and technique--it was clear and straightforward.

Great book for the beginning bread makers, such as myself, who are looking to make more than your typical white loaf. Lots of tips and pointers, as well as some insight into the science behind breadmaking.
