A very appropriate title for a book that concentrates on a character that spanned several decades. Actor biographies are a mixed bag: many are written with obvious bias. Some/most are written by fans who compare the star’s work to others, putting the star on a pedestal as a person who changed the world or inspired historical events. Sometimes they’re written with contempt towards the star and their egocentric/sloth lifestyle. MacDougal’s Jack bio falls somewhere in the middle of the pack.
