I started the Campbell Young series with book 2 "Bright's Kill" for two reasons - 1 - My interest in Horse Racing and - 2 - It was available. For some reason "The Devil In ME" is not available in any library that I can access, is "Out of Print" at any Brick & Mortar Bookstore around here and at any online bookstore I can access. So I had to wait and buy it from "BetterWordBooks.com - A super site, BTW!!
Anyway I enjoyed this book but if I'd have read it first I may have decided that I didn't

J.D. Carpenter's first Campbell Young novel, The Devil in Me, was nominated for an Arthur Ellis Award and appeared on the Globe & Mail's bestseller list. The second, Bright's Kill, was published in 2005 to critical acclaim. Carpenter currently lives in Prince Edward County, Ontario.
