A very soft 2 stars. The set up is okay, the execution is so-so. Two childhood best friends find out that you can have love and friendship. But... the characters are barely defined even the two leads. The B-plot involves a old enemy of Travis that wants to hit him when he's vulnerable. Neither the bad guy or his reason to go after Travis and Tess are believable. The military twist is plaster on and not really important which was the reason I pick up this romance novel. So disappointment.
Loved it again!

Enjoyable friends-to-lovers story I first read in 2006 and kept in my paperback Library. Re-read in 2015 - still loved it, so I bought the E-Book version for my permanent digital Library so I can re-read annually. marked it as to-read
