The [Expanded:] Bible: New Testament – Study the Bible while you read it. It uses the Contempory English Translation and then adds in brackets words or phrases that help you draw out or understand the verses better. The main text is in Bold and they say to read only the BOLD words first and then go back to read the inserted Bracketed text. It is a great idea but at times, at least for me, it was hard to just focus on the Bold words and not immediately read the bracketed words.

What I found was a version of the Bible that any teacher should love! Incorporated into the text, not as footnotes, which can be missed, are literal, alternative and traditional translations for words and phrases, giving the reader a fuller understanding of the text. Commentary is also incorporated. Unlike some Bibles, though, the Expanded Bible doesn't overwhelm readers with opinions choosing instead to give the options for how to interpret passages to its readers.

I was fortunate enough to receive a copy of The Expanded Bible New Testament.
This edition of the New Testament speaks in current English, so new believers and long time followers of Christ can gain new insight in verses, and the power of what Jesus did for all of us.
This is a great edition to have on your bookshelf, along with other editions of the Holy Bible. The study aids will help students with their studies, and followers to obtain new ways to read the Gospel.

This was another book that was life changing for me. I loved reading about Jesus Christ, His teachings, His example, and the way He treated others. A fantastic book full of truth and wisdom.
This is the second time I have read this through as an adult. I especially love reading about Paul, and this time I read Revelations thoroughly and really enjoyed it/ learned a lot.
