This book was strange, much like the cover art with a rather pretty man... who has a cock rooted in his thigh instead of in his groin.

An odd amalgamation of science fiction, fantasy, m/m & m/f and gender fluidity (toward the end). Like a cross between Frankenstein and David Does Dallas.
I would say that, more than anything, this story serves as a cautionary tale. For writers. Firstly, do not strain your reader's suspension of disbelief so thoroughly that the rubber band snaps. Secondly, decid

This was an awful bait and switch. The blurb made the book sound like a gay romance but in reality it was a graphic het romance. I'll never buy another of Ms Dane's books.

4 Tombstones!! "...The concept of this story is highly original and the Frankenstein element is very interesting. ... Paul's motive was murky at the start of this story, but there [were:] some clues and I though the building of his character was nicely done as well as Cornelius's decent to madness. And hot damn, what an ending!" --Sarai,

"... Body Parts is a great story with a very detail oriented plot. This isn't your typical erotic suspense romance filled with sex. This story

This book is a ghost story, sci-story, part epistolary, mystery, erotic, and good old-fashioned kitchen sink. I really like hard to categorize stories this fusion was not done well. Athan's relationship with his creators/lovers (told in flashback & epistolary) was... weird. I try not to think about it too deeply.

The really interesting bit as well as the more complex love story started at the end of the book-- literally the last few pages. I very much wanted to read that story.
