I'm new to reading books about food/nutrition and picked this up while browsing at the library because it seemed so readable. And it was! An excellent book for someone who is just trying to get a preliminary grasp on nutrition and some very specific "Do" and "Don't Do" lists to help them get healthier. Very interesting book on what you should and should not be eating. Most of what they are stating comes from scientific information that is explained to someone, like me, who does not know very much about molecules and compounds in food. I think this book definitely has some bias in it, but there are some good tips about what you should use and avoid when cooking. After hearing about this book from someone I have been trying to stay away from refined ingredients such as salt, and flour.
