I love Gregg Olsen as an author I really do. Heart of Ice is just another of his great murder/mystery suspense novels. The man knows how to keep you in suspense and keep you guessing to the very end. I'm glad he continued with the characters of Emily & Jenna Kenyon which the reader was first introduced to in "A Cold Dark Place".

My main gripe is something I may not have even have picked up on if I didn't read that just before "Heart of Ice". In "A Cold D More...

This is my first Gregg Olsen book. I think I would give him another shot, but this book was just okay for me. It had a lot of characters and really tried to build more suspense than what there actually was. I got a little tired of all the sorority business, as well. I did like the insight into the serial killer's mind. That went a little deeper than you normally get.

I'll only pass this on to my friends at their request.

I discovered that I really like the way this author writes. Such a page turner, kept me going. My kind of book, thriller, how there are really sick twisted very, very sad stories like this one. I know it is not true, but these things really do happen in the real world. I loved this one.

WARNING- If you are sensitive to animal abuse, do not read this book. I had to stop reading it because the description of animal murders and mutilation was too much for me. I know, I am reading a book with human murders, but I can't deal with animal abuse at all.

I loved Gregg Olsen's two other books A Wicked Snow and A Cold Dark Place. I couldn't put them down. This one I barely made it through. It just didn't grab my interest and I thought there was too much going on, too many characters. I didn't care for the plot either.

Not my usual genre... got it for the husband, then ran out of books in my own bag. However, it was good. Well-written, well-crafted plot, deep good and bad guy characterizations, good sense of place. Hung onto this one because I'm sure the husband will like it, too.

Very perdictable. I guess I am not really too crazy about this author. His true crime books I feel are not worth the time and his non-fiction is poorly written slop. It really read like a bad scripty for Murder She Wrote !

Perfectly good for reading in an airport, on the subway, etc but when you've figured out who the killer is by page 92 and there are still a couple hundred pages left, not exactly brilliantly written.

The characters just never became real for me. Seemed like it was going to be to be just another serial killer book and by page 150 I lost interest. I didn't even check out the ending. I didn't much care.

Deep and dark very riviting sometimes hard to read because of the nature but still a page turner. Didn't want to quit on this one.

First book from this author that I've read. I was quite pleased...I liked how he combined two story lines into one book.

Haven't read a thriller in awhile and this was a good way to start. Liked how the author wove separate story lines together

Almost gave up half way through this book. It turned out OK, but I hope Olsen's next book is better.

This book was excellent and got me started on my Gregg Olsen kick. It was downright creepy and kept me "on my toes" throughout the book trying to figure out what was going to happen. Probably one of my favorite GO book although they all are pretty close to one another in ratings.
