Grandpa and Thomas go to the beach along with their green umbrella...The green umbrella gets into a bit of trouble as the storm hits the beach but they also use it to hide away from the storm..Sorta sounds like a contradiction but it isn't when you read the story. Besides this it's basically a story about Grandpa and Thomas get up to while at the beach..It's nothing amazing but to a young enough child it might just be.

Pamela Allen, born in April 1934, in Devonport, New Zealand[1] is a children's writer and illustrator. She has published over 30 picture books since 1980, when she moved to Australia. Eight of her books have been adapted for the stage by The Patch Theatre Company and performed at the Sydney Opera House. Pamela currently lives in Auckland.
