Coordinating the publicity tour for Italy's most famous—and most adorable—chef was just the kind of assignment Juliet relished. Carlo Franconi could gather a crowd just by smiling, and watching him prepare a meal was like witnessing a lesson in passionate lovemaking. By the time the tour was over, Juliet planned to have Carlo packaged as the world's sexiest chef. Women eve...more

I just finished this and i've got to say that the last few pages and their reunion almost brought me to tears, i really loved these characters, compared to summer desserts, and although Carlo was a ladies man, he was such a sweetheart and i love how after Juliet got the elephant she left for rome, and i just love how romantic they are together, and i love how she didn't want to lose herself and was scared she loved him so much she would leave everything for him, and i loved that sentiment. i lo...more

I really liked this book. It was predictable and delectable with an Alpha Male to die for.

Sex and food. Food and sex. What more could you ask for?

Even though I had a really hard time with the implied number of women Carlo slept with, I found myself rooting for him at the end.

I enjoyed the fact that Juliet (how appropriate) was tough yet vulnerable, pretty yet not built like a bombshell, and was mature enough (like Eve in the In Death series) to not get jealous at ALL the women throwing themselve...more

Carlo Franconi loves women and his work as a world renowned chef, and is content with his life wooing women all over the world. Then he embarks on a tour of the US with his publicist Juliet, and both their worlds are turned upside down.

This is a sequel to Summer Desserts (Great Chefs, #1), and both books can be read here Table For Two. It's always interesting to see a womanizer settle down, and once again Roberts does not disappoint.

I enjoyed this much better than the first book even though I could see parallels between the two heroine's, both ambitious and not thinking much about love and romance, one think I don't get is why can't you have both?
The heroine is a publicist whose newest client is a hot Italian chef and his tour for his new cook book. The hero loves women and cooking and he is intrigued by the heroine and her professionalism.
It actually takes him too long to even get to a personal level with her si...more

Carlo Franconi is in love with her, the publicist. Juliet
Love the shopping trip in the middle of the night.
He's trying to make a meal from fresh ingredients and everything is going wrong. The wrong ingredients, they are not fresh and the table isn't going to
be strong enough. He is promoting his book by traveling to big cities and giving a demo of Italian pasta.
He indulges her when preparing her a meal when they don't have any promo plans for the rest of the day. Love all the trav...more

I liked it because I like Nora Roberts. I don't remember even a single book written by her where I can give less than 3 stars. But this isn't her "very good" works, could it be because it is a Silhouette story?

It's got a very predictable plot, a strong and ambitious woman (as almost all women in Nora Roberts books are) and a handsome, rich and sexy chef. There were a few lol moments.

The story flowed smoothly,it was entertaining and it kept me engrossed for a few hours. That's about it I guess. T...more

Juliet pun bertekad untuk t...more

Lessons Learned is a simple romance between book publicist, Juliet Trent, and cookbook author, Carlo Franconi. When Franconi comes to the United States for a book tour, the attraction begins. Franconi views sex with typical Italian flair causing Trent to shy away.

This book is a quick evening read, much like a chic flick. If you are looking for something quietly charming, romantic, and fun, this is a good choice.

Good, solid NR fare.

Carlo is a fun character. I'd kill him if he was my husband, but Juliet suits him just fine. She doesn't mind chaos and clutter and drama.

He is a world reknowned Italian chef, and she is his publicist on his cook book tour.

Her angst was a little forced (mother who buried herself as housekeeper while father had affairs) but as you never meet those people you don't really feel it was real.

I feel like I fell in love with food all over again. This story is about a love affair of food and also with Juliet and Carlo. The simplicity and feeling that goes into creating dishes is intoxicating. How Carlo feels about food is how I do. I love to cook and create and this story will hold a special spot in my heart.

This was a fun, light-hearted read. It is obviously one of her older books. The characters are not too serious or deep. It is a good book for curling up with in the winter or taking to the beach if you are looking for something that is an easy read.

I don't read much contemporary romance but this one was sweet, albeit predictable. Though variety isn't really what one searches for in the romance genre.
However even I have to say that I loved the ending scene.
Angela Noviana

Another Nora Roberts book...another winner! I would have to give this one 3.5 stars out of 5 just because it was some or Nora's earlier writing and I think today she could have done so much more with these characters.

Carlo was a ridiculous character but I was crazy about him and cool sophisticated Juliet was easily ruffled by him. I liked the lead up to their romance and enjoyed how it progressed. There is just something about a Nora Roberts book... I can;t help but love them all!
