Well, I could tell you, but you might want to read this, so I won't.

I think I'm going to stop reading these books. They just aren't that exciting. Or maybe I'm just getting bored with reading mystery books or even just mystery books about old ladies.

In this one, a popular yoga instructor gets killed and pretty much any local person who has ever come in contact with him is a suspect. So Kate and her friends try to find out who killed him. Really wasn't a very exciting case. Probably the most in

Another easy to read cozy.
"Who Killed Swami Schwartz?" is the second in the Kate Kennedy Senior Sleuth Mystery series by Nora Charles. The setting is South Florida, a senior citizens condo and lots of quirky characters. In this second outing, Kate, her sister-in-law and other residents of Ocean Vista Condo set about solving the cyanide death of Swami Schwartz, founder of the local yoga institute. I didn't find this one as enjoyable as the first. It was a little tired and the ending just kind of sputtered into nothing.
flamboyant characters, interesting mystery, wacky science and spirituality mishmash, rushed ending
Kate Kennedy, widow of a homicide detective, is at a dinner in honor of the Palmetto Beach Yoga institute when the Swami who leads it, and whose yoga lessons have helped Kate get in shape, suddenly dies. She senses that the other guests have a secret when she overhears them talking about the Lazarus society. Meanwhile, Kate's former sister-in-law and bff, much-married Marlene, is off on an on-line date to die for.

I thought I had this one solved early on and felt a bit disappointed. However, I was still enjoying the Florida sunshine and following the latest antics of the main characters. The author has some clever tricks up her sleeve, and totally surprised me by the end.
Was a good book...

Was funny and had a good pace to it...

Only regret was the wrap up... the explanation of case and solving of the mystery was less than 3 pages long...

highly recommend

ok, I admit the cute dog on the cover pulled me in - and because I've been snowed in with 18 inches of snow, thought I'd give this series a try
Good quick read. Light and entertaining series, I will have to search out the rest of the books to keep the mysteries going.
I really enjoy this series. Kate Kennedy may be one of my favorite senior sleuths.
