Okay, overall I enjoyed the novel. It was entertaining, it kept my interest, & I felt the chapters dealing with the first World War were utterly fascinating (here comes the however), the ending completely ruined the whole novel for me.
I don't read DS novels because of the high-moral character they posses. Most are trashy, everybody's cheating on everyone, marriage is more of a hobby than a commitment, I understand all that before I read them. I like her novels because their exciting, More...

I really like Danielle Steel but not every single one. I have a few select ones I like and this is one of them.
Two sisters exactly alike yet personalities that are so different. Set sometime in the early 1900's one sister makes a huge mistake and must make things better but she struggles to make things right so her sister replaces her (they look alike) and goes off to France to help out in the war as the other lives her life and falls in love but she shouldn't. Really love the story.
I really don't think Danielle Steel's works are cheesy because all of her books i have read so far are so beautiful, but Mirror Image is my fav.
I love how DS really paid attention to the history details esp about Titanic and World War I. Also love how her character were so brave and modern although she lived in 1900's era. I'm talking about Victoria here. She's my fav character in this book (yeah not Olivia!!) and i'm so sad about her tragic ending (why oh whyyy More...

Awful. Not Danielle Steel's worst, however. The main problem? Victoria. Her character is insufferable, and then the narrator pipes in and explains that she and her angel of a twin, Olivia, are virtually the same person. And they can't live without each other blah blah blah. If Olivia had a brain, she would've ditched the biatch from the get-go. Anyway. Whatever. I'm a little ashamed that I read this book (despite the fact that it was given to me, stripped and free of charge, by a friend

Back in the early 90s I couldn't get enough of Danielle Steel. It was also the time when I submitted my first manuscripts dreaming of publication. I remember vividly having a plot for a new manuscript featuring Vietnam...I researched, I began making notes, and then Danielle Steel released her new novel...based in/around Vietnam. I felt deflated and couldn't bring myself to read another of her books.
I now look back on that time with amusement. I've come a very long way since the 90s More...

This was a grood book and thoroughly enjoyd it. There were moments that were sad and felt for the characters.
This is a reread for me and I had originally read this a few yrs back and over the yrs I reread the ending as that was sad and in a while resolved the events in the book.
Mirror image is a book about twins and their similarities and differences and how the war, women suffrages effected their lives and what women did in those times
Would reccomend this bo

I love this book, not because of the setting, but because of the love the sisters have for each other. I wish that it was like with my sister. I wish I knew how that felt.
Though what was even more heartfelt to me is how she traded places with her, knowing that she could get into serious trouble for do that. They both took chances.
I looked beyond the actual book and looked at the relationship between the sisters. That's why I love this book.

This is the first book I've read from Danielle Steel, and I am not quite excited.
There were just a few strong moments, and as a whole the plot was boring, and in the end it was more that stupid. Yes, it was unexpected, and this is one of these books that are surprising you, but the surprise was unpleasant. When I finished the book I had was feeling oppressed. It wasn't definitely my cup of tea.

Of the many Danielle Steel books I have read, this is by far my favourite. The story explores the bond between mirror twins, something the majority of people do not understand. The way the feelings and emotions are explored and written drag you deeper and deeper into the story. I have never cried at a book as much as I did at this one. Fantastic from beginning to end.

I started reading this but in the middle of the book, I just lost interest (which explains the humongous gap between when I started reading and when I actually finished it). It was beginning to be quite a bit boring and I hated Victoria with every inch of my life.
That was, until the near end of the book though. She was not domesticated, as would have been expected of women her age, but she was aggressive, courageous and feisty. She kind of reminds of Mulan in so many ways although she' More...

I am not a Danielle Steele fan. Ok...beat me up! Ms. Steele writes to a formula, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The bad thing about her formula: It is so simple that you figure it out on the second book you read. I like a little bit of a challenge.

I typically avoid Romance novels because they're so terribly formulaic. This one's no exception -- loveless marraiges, illogical assumptions, noble sacrifices... There were a few surprises in the middle, though, so it kept my interest for it's six hour length.

This book made me start reading for pleasure again. Even though I first read it in high school, it's a book I can still turn to to read again and again. If you have a sister, you can relate to Olivia changing her life so Victoria can follow her dreams.

Out of desperation for a book in English in Costa Rica, I picked up this used copy, thinking it was going to be a cheesy romance novel. IT WAS A GREAT READ! I picked it up every second I could, and couldn't put it down!

this book is about a beautiful young set of twins, who are completely different. Victoria is headstrong and wants nothing but to get out of her dull existance. She doesn't care about keeping a home or being married. She sneaks out for womens life movements, and has a love affair with a married man. Olivia wants nothing more then a home of her own, with a loving husband and tons of kids. When Victoria, having been forced into marriage with none other then the man Olivia secretly has come to love,

Oh my gosh, I love this book. It jumps back in time with appropriate events and mannerisms. Each characters grow but then changes to turn themeselves into the other. On purpose! An amazing book and a MUST READ!

Frankly I wanted to love this book and give it 5 stars but the reason I couldn't was simply due to the fact that the beginning of the novel dragged and the ending was to abrupt. I feel that the some of the beginning of the plot should have been sacrificed to make room for a better ending.

This was a good book about some twins it took a while to read this novel but it did hold your interest until the end of the book in which you would think you would never get to but it was enjoyable in the end.

Once again a great book by Danielle Steel, couldn't put it down. I had this one finished in one 30 hour trip back from Virginia to Colorado. It would have been done sooner, but I had to help drive :(

LOVED this book about identical twins who had completely different personalities, but were more similar than they realized. Danielle Steel never fails to take my breath away. :)

I loved this book about twin sisters. I couldn't put it down. The twin bond really is strong between these two sisters. It left me wanting a sequel.

I'd never heard of mirror twins before picking this book up. I can't remember the ins and outs of the plot but I do remember I loved the story at the time.

It's a wild and crazy novel, but I adore the bond between the sisters. I think the characterization is wonderful.
