I read this book when I was very young and have revisited it over the years. This book is really one of my favorites, but I couldn't bring myself to give it 5 stars. Crystal and Spencer (the main characters in the story) obviously love one another very much, however, they make so many mistakes and it takes years and years for them to end up together. Another heart touching book!
I really don’t understand how Danielle Steel could write so touching book.
Or maybe because it’s always based on a girl.
A girl (Crystal) has known this guy (Spencer) when she was fourteen years old-he did ask her to marry him-but not the right time –always! –They find each other again once he’s engaged to another girl –then again after he gets married to his fiancée- Then he realized that he does not love his wife.

I've read quiet a few books of Danielle Steel and i've cried and laugh a lot with most of them, but sadly this wasn't one of the finest works from Mrs. Steel. I feel that the story needed a little more of strenght, it was a little more predictable that it should have (when you've read a lot you kindda see it comming). But even though, it is a nice read.

I've read this book before a few years ago and must say, the reading experience was different this time around, now that I'm older. The book was still addicting. But the on-off "relationship" Spencer and Crystal had was tiring after a while. All in all I am in love with this book, and this surely wasn't the last time I've read it.
I liked the story, classic Danielle Steel where two people can't be together for whatever reason but it all works out in the end. I saw another review on here where somebody remarked on her repeating herself on numerous occasions as if she's trying to pad the book out, which I totally agree with - that's the only downer really.

This book started out much butter than it ended. Parts of her books are so believable and then it spins off in to the fantasy world. The relationship between Crystal & her mother after her Dad died wasn't believable. It also seemed rushed towards the end. It was an ok book though.
Story about a girl growing up and the man she fell in love with at 14. They each go their different ways, but are always running into each other at various times throughout their lives. One lives in California and one in New York. Has a good ending and that's always nice in a book.
It was a little harsh what happened to the girl but I guess that's sort of reality. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Danielle Steel - I think it's one of her best. I enjoyed it all the way through and I didn't want it to end. It was great.
My friends and I, when we were freshman in college, got a hold of a copy of this book and read it aloud to each other each night, a chapter at a time, and we laughed until we wanted to die every single night. It was good times.
This book was probably suggested to me over 20 years ago. I loved it then. And I love it now. Much conflict, sadness, struggle, hardship, strength and love. Another keeper in my library.

This was my first book for personal pleasure versus for school purposes at 12yo. And my love affair with books is still going strong 25 years later, thank you Danielle Steel!
Read it for an adult pop lit class, but I didn't hate it. It was way different from the movie (which I saw when it originally aired on TV 15 or so years ago).
Loved this book. this one ,jewels and Zoya.soo much better stories then her newer stuff. i like them all but before the stories we more indepth

I read this when I was 13 and it was my favorite book then, but I doubt I would still love it as much.
It was a very good book. It is very sad but the end of this book makes you think how love take turns.
The first adult novel I read when teenagers .Page by page through without space. Sangat Cantik.
