Typical but reliable vegan standbys, with an emphasis on whole foods & easy to find veggies & pulses. The editors included thoughtful pieces on veganism & social justice from various perspectives, including parents & folks with eating disorders. In one place it actually recommends 'cooking' an ingredient without divulging how.

Everything is so basic you may as well just guess your own ingredients, you'd probably make better recipes. Everything they suggest can be easily found on the internet. There is nothing new in this book.

If you're looking for something interesting, tasty, original and really good for you then get the Veganomicon. I wasted money on this book.

As someone who is

a) Terrified of cooking in general, and
b) Often called upon to cook for vegans,

this book has made my life immensely better.
