What if you belonged nowhere and to no one? What if you learned as a teenager that the father who had mistreated you for years wasn’t your father at all–and that you were actually born to the mistress of a Greek gangster? And what if the only way to connect with your real father was to become his fiercest rival?

This story is so outrageous that I have to take it with some grains of salt... but I suspect it is mostly true. Kevin Pappas is the unacknowledged son of a Greek mobster who made a fortune running a drug gang in Atlanta, got caught and sentenced to hard time, then made another fortune (and got out of jail) brokering information between criminals on the street, rich criminals in the pen, and law enforcement.

It was okay, I didn't really like the lead character that much. So I really didn't care if he ended up in prison for the rest of his arrogant life.

Fascinating memior of a mostly unloved child who becomes teenage hustler/jewlery store owner, cocaine distributor, jailhouse lawyer and finally normal citizen. Good short read, would like to have had a longer, more detailed book. Would love to read a longer, well researched bio done by an impartial investigator.

Nice surprise. Well written book by another crazy dope dealer from Atlanta area. Lot of daddy issues that are irrelevant to the story. Really well written. Wait for this one to come out in paperback.
