Jedidiah (Jed) Mason is a caretaker. As a rookie firefighter, he takes great pride in helping others and being there for people when they most need it. The last six months has been tough on him. His boyfriend cheated on him and left him for a rich, older man leaving him lonely and brokenhearted. Plus, he is living in the closet at work, for fear of unacceptance and being shunned by his co-workers.

When Jed is cleaning up rubble after a fire at an abandoned office building, he notices a large, bur

This book surprised me. I had no idea how much I would like Jed and Topaz, and how sexy they would be together. I really loved the history of Topaz and Jed's past life and love together. This was a very quick read for me because I enjoyed it so much.
Thanks again for the recommendation, Shayne.

Nice story with interesting plot-twist and the addition of an ancient gods worked really well. Oh and you can't really do wrong with firemen :)))

How can he know how to use a condom but not have heard of California?
How does he know what a shower is? (even if he did use one when previously awoken before, he referred to it as a "modern-day shower," implying that they had them in Athens.)
Why the hell isn't he freaked out over some modern technology- like

Nothing terribly original, but for a short it was well written. It was sweet and hot. A nice little interlude, which is about all you can ask for in so few pages.
