Overall, this is a must-have for racing fans of any age or involvement in the racing industry. Drager supplies extremely detailed summaries, pictures and race records of not only the three races and eleven current Triple Crown winners, but also includes small summaries about Triple Crown "near-misses," foreign versions of the Triple Crown, and a glossary of horse and racing industry terminology (very helpful for my boyfriend, who has been extremely patient in attempting to understand m...more

Very dry facts. Probably a good reference book, but not a good book to read for enjoyment. However, I did enjoy the DVD that came with the book. I just wish the book had a little bit more spice, instead of being so cut-and-dry.

An excellent presentation of champion Thoroughbreds. Each section follows the Triple Crown winner through his career after his triumph and showcases horses who challenged their dominance in racing (Man 'O War for Sir Barton) (Seabiscuit for War Admiral) later in their careers.

I LOVED this book! Everything you've ever wanted to know about every winner of the Triple Crown is included with each champions story. I especially loved how each horse achieved their victory and their careers after the fact. This book showcases the Triple Crown at its finest! It's a definite must read for any horse racing fan.
