I picked this up from Amazon's Kindle Deal of the Day, for a great price. However, I won't be buying more of Elizabeth Sinclair's Hawk Mountain series because I thought the story too treacly sweet and the writing a bit overdone. For example, Rose meets Granny Jo and knows she likes her even though she just met her - it comes across as Pollyanna-ish, which is a bit much for a former foster child who doesn't trust people.
