This is a story about "work before play". There is a lot you can do with this story. In a science lesson, you could discuss the responsibilities and "niche" of animals. There are many possibilities with this story, and it teaches a great lesson. I would use this story with any age students, but with that specific science topic, I would probably use it with fourth or fifth graders.
