Ms. Joanne Rock never fails to impress with her story-telling skills. She Thinks Her Ex Is Sexy is fresh and fast-paced. Yet Ms. Rock still seamlessly develops her hero’s and heroine’s back stories so you can understand and sympathize with what drives them, motivates their reactions. I love when a story has a conflict that both the hero and the heroine have to rely on each other to survive. Working in tandem, they rediscover the love they have to each other. My favourite moments occurred when they were in the desert, struggling against the odds. Both characters grew a lot throughout the book. I also love reunion stories, especially ones that causes characters to rip the scab off old wounds and deal with them honestly. This book book had those elements for me.
The characters are shallow and paper thin. The celebrity world J. Rock is trying to present seems so unreal and there is no depth to this book.

My favorite scences were with the coyote pup, that says how un-engaging the characters were.

This one can only get one out of five stars from me.

The author of over sixty romances in a variety of subgenres, she enjoys writing contemporary romance as well as medieval historicals in addition to her Young Adult stories as J.K. Rock co-authored with her sister-in-law, Karen. A former...more
