This book is a defense to liberal theology as found primarily in the Presbyterian Church (USA). Some of the context makes the book outdated. With the election and subsequent re-election of President Obama and the passing of amendment 10A to the Book of Order, much of the endangering to liberal protestants has not yet been realized in ways in which it seems the Author anticipates. This is a good book for theologically conservative individuals who seek to understand their liberal counterparts.

Very good explaination and defense of liberal theology. It is theology so it does take a little concentration, but a very good primer on liberal theology and its important and our call to be theologians in the world today.
