Private eye DB has a pretty unusual partner. Jesse's been in his office a lot longer than he has, hanging around like ghosts kinda have to. They do pretty well together, playing chess and solving cases, which Jesse figures is better than an eternity popping in and out of walls.

The new case they take seems pretty average, but it turns out to be more than they bargain for. D

This is fun, cute even; I'm not sure if you can label it erotica when one of the characters is a ghost, but it makes for an interesting angle. A PI with a ghostly sidekick - [tv series] Randall and Hopkirk all grown-up and discovering each other ;)

The crime is pretty much background, there is no mystery. I'd have liked a bit more to it's resolution; the show-down came sudden and was very convenient in that it took away the need for any actual detecting or evidence. Would have been nice to see Jo

Adorable, sexy, emotionally sweet. The murder plot was flat and pedestrian, but it wasn't the point. Due to the novella's brevity (fewer than 100 ereader pages), neither main character was fleshed out, but as the first in a series, this installment provided a teasing introduction that leaves the reader wanting to know more about them. And the ghost/man intimacy was perfectly done. 3.75 stars, rounded down for price ($4.50 for what amounts to a short story is too steep. But I'll pay it again for ...more

Never thought that I would describe an m/m fiction as CUTE, but this one is what that is. CUTE. DB has an "unusual" partner, a ghost by the name of Jesse. As they are working together to solve the usual case of cheating husband, sparks fly. Well, as much as it can fly between a human and a ghost :D. The story can be angsty, I mean come on, your lover is a ghost?? But the writing is witty and the protagonists are just adorable. You wish secretly that they find a way to make it work.

DB is a private investigator who has a rather intrusive partner Jesse. I say intrusive because Jesse is a ghost and DB doesn't particularly want him around, but he is handy. There are sort of two parallel stories. They take on a case of suspected cheating and find out the husband is having an affair with a man. When the husband is shot and the wife blames the lover, DB and Jesse are determined to prove that the lover is innocent. As well, despite DB telling Jesse to get lost, he's kind of starti ...more

DB is a private investigator of not much success. But he has something no other PI could have: his partner is a ghost, Jesse.

They share a pretty simple and quite life: resolve cases not so complicated, play chess and discuss a lot. They have never spoken of the private life of DB, cause Jesse has no private life, obviously, and seems neither DB.

But when DB discovers that Jesse is gay, like him, their relationship changes a bit: sex with a ghost seems a little weird and complicated, but DB can't

Nice, funny and a little romantic. Liked that story.

A really fun and unique series. There are 4 novels and 2 short stories out so far but definitely room for more and more! Very interesting characters, although they have already met in the first story which was a little confusing at first as I though there was a book I missed but it's explained later, and entertaining stories. I will definitely be looking for more to read.

Very short, but kind of fun. It's basically erotica with a vague plot though, and no great mystery to the plot. I liked the characters though, especially Jesse.

Love love love the dynamic between the characters. This series is a wonderful fresh concept. I look forward to following these characters through many more adventures!

This one moved a bit slowly for me, but I was interested enough in how DB and Jesse were going to resolve their unique problem that I bought the rest of the series.

This book owes much to Randall & Hopkins (Deceased). Except for the gay ghost sex. Pretty much that's about it.

I'm going to re read this as I really loved it the first tme around, and back then there were no sequels

Born in the wilds of Canada, Drew grew up with an axe in one hand and a book in the other. Drew's love of writing is outshone only by his love of men. Lucky for him, he can combine the two.

From his father, Drew learned how to wield that axe, fix a carburetor and bake a mean can of beans using fire, gas or electricity. From his mother, he learned how to rotate the tires, turn apples into just about
