Holy awesome middle grade novel, indeed.

This opening will make more sense to you after you’ve read your first Melvin Beederman Superhero novel, Esteemed Reader, as it is my imitation of a gag Greg Trine repeats often to great comic effect. Melvin Beederman Superhero, The Brotherhood of the Traveling Underpants is about these two superheros, melvin and his sidekick candace, and these three brothers named, goofball, mcculsky, the brains of the operation. Calamity Wayne had the getaway vechicle and max the wonder thug was, of course the muscle. November 2010 - I read this one because Mikey wanted me to - these are lighthearted books that kids would enjoy, but there's not particularly much to them. This is cotton candy, not "nutritious" reading, but sort of fun in a self-conscious, annoying kind

Greg Trine is the author of the Melvin Beederman, Superhero books for children, which he creates with his illustrator sidekick, Rhode Montijo. He is also the author of the young adult book, The Second Base Club. He lives with his family in his Southern California hideout.
