War Stories For Boys
By Chris Priestley

This book was made up of three different stories about World War two and what they went through. The three stories are on the Battle of Britain, the battle in North Africa, and the D-Day landing. The settings they mainly start off in is England and move to a base where they do training. These three men want to go and fight in the battle against the Empires to take back the land.

This entire series is a wonderful way to learn history or teach it to adolescents. I find today's generations seem to recall more when they learn through other people (pop songs, celebrity gossip, etc.), so what better way to teach history than through someone else's perspective? Yes, "authentic" diaries would be "better", but would the language really hold the modern student's attention? Did the diary writer know what WOULD be important in the context of history? Probably not.

I think that this book was one of the best books I have ever read. I liked it because I like to read war stories about the first and second world wars. This subject really interests me and I look forward to reading this book again and more stories just like this one. I find really interesting to read books that are true stories and involve our history.

This was an ex excellent book that I could not take my head out of. Extremely addicting book. This book is based around World War II and how it was like for the people fighting in the war. For boys and girls who love war, this is the book for them

I didn't think it was that good. It had a lot of action in it but I got a bit bored so I didn't finish it.

His father was in the army and so he moved around a lot as a child and lived in Wales. He was an avid reader of American comics as a child, and when he was eight or nine, and living in Gibraltar, he won a prize in a newspaper story-writing competition. He decided then “that my ambition was to write and illustrate my own book”.
He spent his teens in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, before moving to Manchester,
