THUG LOVIN’ by Wahida Clark is a tale full of seduction and change. I have not read any of Clark’s previous books, so I can’t give my opinion on how this book compares to the others or how it follows the previous storyline. However, for a couple that seemed to be much loved (Tasha and Trae), there seems to be quite a few reasons not to love them in this book. I can’t come out and tell you whether I recommend it or not yet; it’s not that clear-cut. You’ll probably have to hear my opinions and use ...more

This book was the bomb. I read it and finished it in one day. For those who don't know, Wahida Clark is one of the best urban writers out there who will never let you down no matter what book of hers you pick up. I have followed her since book 1 and she creates a steamy, tasty, eroctic make ya want to shout for thug glory image the whole time you read. She makes you rethink what a relationship like these would be like and takes you with her characters. I know I don't have to say keep it up Wahida, ...more

My favorite couple is back

In part four, we follow the lives of Tasha and Trae Macklin. They are married and with children. Trae is retired from “the game” and looking for ways to clean his money. They have moved to Cali to start a new life. This is the worst move possible for them. We follow them along with their difficulties’ and this once power couple is experiencing some major martial problem that I for one never foreseen. Author Wahida Clark has taking this book in a different direction then

In the fourth installment of the Thug Series, Thug Lovin’, author Wahida Clark focuses on Tasha and Trae who have gotten out of the game and relocated to California. Fresh off the heels of beating the case that would have sent him and Kaylin away for a long time Trae is determined to start over promising Tasha and their growing family peace of mind far away from the drama of New York. The first four years in Cali go by without a hitch with Tasha taking care of their three sons while Trae is busy ...more

Thug Lovin’ is my first Wahida Clark book. I have not read any of the previous books with Trae, Tasha and rest of the gang making these characters new to me. The book started off at a good pace introducing the characters and giving a bit of background. The author does an excellent job of setting up various sub plots very early into the book creating the potential for explosive climaxes. Unfortunately, for me in the end she fell short of her potential. Please don’t misunderstand me, this book is ...more

This is the fourth book of the Thug Series written by Wahida Clark. I must say it might be the most drama filled, coming close with the third book, Thug Matrimony. This book is like the part two of Ever Thug Needs A Lady, the second book of the series. It's based around the same couple, but it has a side story of one of her best friends whose original story was told in the first book, Thugs And The Women Who Love Them. This book is basically picking us up with their new lives, and how it could b ...more

Thug Lovin' is the Only Kind of Lovin'!

The fourth installment on the Thug series finds both love and hate in the air. California may not be what Tasha and Trae were expecting, from illegal to legal, from highs to lows.

I tell you, good street lit has become harder to find. Look no further. Wahida Clark once again brings it with her latest novel. "Thug Lovin' held me. She again captivates readers with her wicked pen game.

Like Clark's legion of fans, I'll be on the lookout for the next volume in

Oh this book pissed me off !!!!
too much shady business going on.
It's like when the Macklins moved to Cali everything went down hell from there & just when I thought Tasha & Tre where going to be good ="(First, let me say that I have been a "die hard" Wahida fan. I have read all of her books. However, "this &*#@) RIGHT HERE " was unbelievable (and not in a good way)! We fell in love with Trae, Tasha, Kaylin, Angel and the rest of the crew in books 1 - 3. Those characters are not reco

Wahida sets the tone for explosive and breath-taking scenarios as drama unfolds to the nth power! Trae's dark side is unveiled as he suffers a loss close to his heart and all bets are off when opportunity knocks for more money. All money ain't good money, so Trae has to chose between his wife, Tasha and children, or the love of money. Faheem's past has knocked him off his square and while he's reeling from the mind boggling discovery, Jaz has to make sure that her love is always #1. Kaylin and A ...more

Thug Lovin' is another one of Wahida Clark books following the drama from the previous stories. In this book all the drama from Justify my thug is continued from Tre trial to them relocating to L.A. Instead of being in the drug game Tre has found something new to get him into trouble. Moving to L.A he decided to open a and run a night club but music wasnt the only thing the people came for. Tasha bestfriend Angel decided to come along and start her new life.

Thug Lovin' was a great read! I loved it. It was more interesting than I expected. The author used IMAGERY in her writing piece. There was so much scandal that you couldn't help but envision it. When Tasha speaks about Trae's affair with his business partner, you feel as if you are right there watching: creepy I know. Also when she speaks about how Tasha went outside to beat Trae's motorcycle in because the business girl bought it for him. I can honestly see her in the front yard with a bat beat ...more

Well Wahida has done it again, this novel was really a great read, I read it in 1 day and can truly say that the Thug life ain't no joke. I could actually read and imagine everything that was going on. The words are raw and yet real to life. This type of lifestyle will take you out of here and what I found is when temptation is served up on a platter and you are not strong in your convictions you may just tip out and do something you may later regret. Drugs, fast money, sex, lies and deceit were ...more

All I can say about the story is “don’t do this at home”. Apparently, this is book 4 of a series and I have not read the previous 3. Tasha and Trae have moved from the hood in New York to glitzy California to start a new life, but their dangerous past finds them and threatens their new family. Even though I don’t particularly like the morals of the characters, they are well-developed and the action in the story is a real page turner. There is a fair amount of sex, violence and bad language throu ...more

This book was a hot mess for Tasha and Trey. They shouldn't have went to the west coast. I can't believe Trey let Charli into their lives like that. Marvin always has been a done deal with the drugs but I was actually rooting for him to make it through. Sabeerah was off the chain but Tasha shouldn't have let another chick into her bedroom from jump. That was just plain dumb, if that was the case she should've just invited Charli right on in. When Trey said they should move she should've picked a ...more

If you are looking for a book that is deep and makes you think, this is not the book for you. If you are a fan of romance novels, this is most certainly for you. Romance is obviously not my preferred genre of literature, but for what the book was, it was just fine. I would recommend this books to anyone who enjoys romance and/or urban literature. Past that, I would not recommend it. The plot was certainly better than that of the Twilight saga, but it still felt rather empty. But hey, too much pl ...more

I read the reviews before ready the book, so I was expecting a let down, but I guess to each is own, b/c I fell right into the story, the story line was so deep, I was scared half the time reading waiting with anticipation of what's going to happen next.

And the reality is how much we didn't approve of Trae or Marvin hitting their wife's, the reality is it happens and by reading there struggles you see how it transpired, I can appreciate a real story line b/c sometimes we read books and it just

This was a good book as are all of wahida clark's books but I think that "Every Thug Needs A Lady'' and "Thug Matrimony" are the BEST ONES!!!
I cant wait til the 5th one coming in May 2011!!!

If you choose to read this book make sure you read the whole series or you will be lost!

This was so emotional but i must say although i cried several times i was more disappointed in how weak the woman had become. In the previous books in the series the women had more strength of character, in this one i was so pissed at them and the men. To go through all they had been through together and as couples to just become so stupid and careless with their choices and decisions. Also Wahida is just plan wrong for how the book ended.

At first it was getting on my nerves because it was moving to slow, than as I continued to read after around page 50 or so it started to pick up. It was definitively a thug loving thang going on. Trae and Tasha's love triangle was really crazy, and I was really angry at the end with Marvin (Blue) OMG! Don't want to spoil it but it will have you wanting to know what is going to happen so you will keep reading to the end. Over all enjoyed it.

I thought that Trae and Tasha was the perfect couple. They had 3 boys, lived in a nice condo, and he also bought her everything that she wanted and more. Everything soon changed when they moved to California from New Jersey. Once Trae opened up his night club he began cheating on Tasha with a wealthy girl named Charli. I felt it wasn't worth it because Tasha was a good woman who really cared about her family.

Thug Lovin' is about a couple name Tasha and Trae. In Wahida other books they was the perfect couple but in this book I don't know where those characters went. This book made me mad, I can't believe Tasha slept with Kaylin brother and Trae slept with charli. Tasha really disappointed me because she had to go mess with Trae bestfriend brother she was out of order for that one, she did way too much. Smh.

This book had me in literal shock. I've read Thugs and the Women Who Love Them & Thug Matrimony. This book is so far my favorite in the Thug series (I couldn't get my hands on the second book, Every Thug Needs a Lady). I couldn't believe Trae, Tasha, Marvin, or Kyra. I don't know if they all lost their minds or what. & the way Wahida ended the book? Wow. Just....wow. Great book. Frustrating, but great.

this book was the continuation of a sequel..the main characters were tasha and tray..this book was good to me..i actually like this book better than her other books..i felt it had enough drama that kept me interested..but i was kinda upset at tray and tashas whole situation and why they wasnt able to get it together..i cant wait for her to write another book that would set the sequel to an end.

Wahida Clark was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. She decided to start writing fiction while incarcerated at a women's federal camp in Lexington, KY. Her style is street, raw, and she has an imagination that's in overdrive. When you read her novels they are so real you are convinced of one of three things: that you are inside the book, you know the characters, or you just have to meet them. ...more
