Strah je adut u situacijama gde je on potreban. Refleks pri dodiru vatre, skok u stranu kada naleti automobil na ulici itd. A šta se desi kada se strah koristi kao sredstvo manipulacije? Hiperbolisanje od strane medija, spekulacije o zatrovanoj hrani, mogućim terorističkim napadima, katastrofama... Pa onda tržište, porast proizvoda koji teže da stvore sigurnost u domu, da stvore zaštitu, odagnaju paranoju, pruže lak i bezbrižan san.

Lars Fredrik Händler Svendsen is a Norwegian author and philosopher who is professor at the University of Bergen. He has published several books translated into 24 languages. He is also engaged as project manager in the think tank Civita. In 2008 he was awarded the Meltzer Prize for outstanding research, and in 2010 he was awarded the prisoners Testament.
