This is one of the most romantic stories I have ever read. the character of Troy keeps me coming back to this book again and again. I love the characters, I love the setting, I just really love this book. Best in the series.

Melodrama that I would tear a book in half for is... so much enjoyable in a VCA novel. I'm not sure why, I think it's because it's so over the top that it's just... amazing. I love it, I loved this. I loved Heaven's burning need to prove herself, the fact that she wasn't perfect, for all that she's worshipped by others. Her struggle with her upbringing and her father and her love for Troy were all very touching. And that's the thing with VCA's originals, no matter how ridiculous they can be, the

Pretty darn trashy. I read it when I was very young though, so I loved it. Troy and Heaven were awesome, even with the weird incest twist and dramatics. Still, it made my pre-teen heart flutter.
I was a weird child, but it wasn't that unusual -- there were a lot of us under-aged V.C. Andrews readers back in the day.

I don't remember this book at all. These books are like pringles - once you pop you can't stop.
QUOTE FROM JESSICA:
I can't (for me: shouldn't) rate these books, because giving a bad rating would be a lie -- I was crazy about them when I read them -- but giving them a good rating would be misleading because it would lead you to believe that they were good, and they're not. I mean, in a way they must be or they wouldn't have been so popular, but they're definitely Lame, especiall More...

As I’ve said on other reviews, as I feel it’s a fitting disclaimer and warning for those that are curious about V.C Andrews; she is not for everyone. Her writing has problems, stylistically and otherwise, but none the less there is something deeply compelling and unforgettable about her stories, even decades after being written.
I read Dark Angel after Web of Dreams, skipping a book or two on the way, but suffered little. Quickly you’ll catch up on Heaven’s life so far, her struggles an More...

This was better than the first in the series. We come to Heaven leaving the Willies and flying off to Boston to meet her dead mother's parents. Here she is dressed with the finest clothes, goes to the finest school for her senior year, and befriends her step-grandfather's brother, Troy. Troy is off-limits to her says Tony, her step-grandfather, due to his strange behaviors.
Needless to say, Heaven does try and contact all of her brothers and sisters, only to find that they really don' More...

More of the same. Incest, money, family secrets, etc. I think this was the last book actually written before VC Andrews before she passed away and the ghostwriter took over.

I was about 13 years old when I first read this book. I read this book in one day and I fell in love with the character Troy.

I love V.C. Andrews. Although this wasn't one of her best books out there that she has written it was still well done on her part.

I read this book several years ago. I just remember liking it a lot and not wanting to put it down.

not a 5 on a scale of prize literature, but a quick and enjoyable read.

I used to LOVE this series when I was in high school. Now that I'm older I still like it, but it's lost something over the years. The character of Troy is what will have me picking up this book again in a few years

I loved this book, especially Troy. Tony was a bit creepy though.

Beth, I'm giving it one extra star so I don't incur your anger. I will, of course, be reading the entire Heaven series.

It really surprises me how much smut V.C. Andrews can put into a book. A lot of times, I'm left disappointed. This book was ok. I don't know if some of it just didn't make sense because it's #2 in a series or if it's just geared so much more to teens. I think I'm too old for this book now...it just seemed somewhat silly, predictable, and contrived.
