I'm not going to lie--although I have cut back, I still eat some dairy products. Nonetheless, I am under no assumptions that dairy is a necessary part of the diet. This book presents the same old industry line fed to youngsters: dairy is essential to health, we all have to eat dairy, if we didn't eat dairy we wouldn't get enough calcium, etc. Alternative sources of calcium are not mentioned.
