Not bad. Ryan's writing style could use a bit of work, he is particularly fond of certain words and phrases such as 'perhaps he/she didn't need to', 'tamed' and 'cast as the hero/heroine/villain of the piece'. Apart from that my only other criticism is that perhaps he should have started his biography at the start; that is, he should have begun the story from childhood onwards. Instead he dips from adulthood to childhood randomly.
The writing was too florid and, on occasion, ungrammatical, but that is of no consequence. Justine is my favorite female tennis player EVER (sorry Steffi, Monica, et al), and hero worship has quelled the critic in me. I loved reading the chapter on the US Open semifinal against Capriati in 2003. It brought back pleasing memories of watching that fantastic nailbiter until 1 a.m. on a long ago Friday night.
