Stacey Halprin lost over 350 pounds. The little thrills of accomplishment kept her going through her weight loss phase but she knew that the statistics about gaining weight after losing are scary. The first part of this book was good...the last half seemed more like a sex therapy book......not that it isn't important but I feel it didn't fit in with the title...think she could have done much better in the book...just my opinion though

I got a lot out of this book--more than any other in the same vein that I've read so far. Although I am very far away from the point where I'll just be trying to maintain my weight, Stacey Halprin's words were very inspiring. She gave me a lot of good ideas and things to remember when I'm feeling discouraged.

I actually would have preferred something along the lines of an autobiography detailing Stacey's experience with losing so much weight. There's noting in this book you can't find in any thousand other books or online.

Currently on page 52, but this book is helping with my desire to lose weight and keep it off - forever - as an important life goal. I like the hints from Winners Circle group she's defined.

((received in mail from Doubleday, read it, then sent it back))

A good book, aimed at those who've lost the weight --or most of it-- and want to continue to maintain their loss.
